Summer
The most obvious advantage of having a summer wedding is probably the weather, although a British summer can sometimes disappoint. Still, your chances of being wed in the sun are much higher between June-August!
You’ll have plenty of bright, light colour schemes to choose from if you decide on a summer date – dreamy pinks and pale greens, gold and blush, or marigold and poppy red.
With a summer wedding, you’ll have the opportunity to have drinks and canapes outdoors. It’s great way to get the guests mingling in a more casual atmosphere and it makes for some great, natural wedding shots.
Autumn
An autumn wedding sets a fabulous scene, the fallen leaves and orangey colour palette will give warmth to your special day.
Autumn is a great opportunity to play around with your colour scheme: red orange and peach, or earthy browns and ivory.
For an extra warm and cosy atmosphere, swap champagne for mulled wine at your drinks reception and have some seasonal treats on offer – meat and cheese platters, tiny toffee apples, crostinis, and mini pumpkin soup!
Winter
Winter weddings are becoming increasingly popular: venues usually offer a discounted rate and have more availability, meaning dates can be flexible. The weather might be a little chilly, but as long as you’re prepared you won’t go wrong!
Winter colour schemes can be anywhere from a blue-grey and white combination, to a more festive palette, like red white and gold, or cream copper and green to create a look which reflects a winter’s day.
Spring
A spring wedding gives everyone something to look forward to through those cold winter months. The weather gets warmer, everything gets brighter and it signifies the start of something new!
Spring colours are delicate and tasteful: pale pinks, blues, lilacs and greens are all popular choices.
