Wedding Accommodation
Knowsley Hall is the only stately home in the country to be awarded 5* Gold status, for its accommodation, by Visit Britain. From the moment you arrive to begin wedding preparations, to the moment you leave, we will make sure you and your guests have an experience to remember.
From the Honeymoon Suite to guest accommodation, we have 17 beautiful bedrooms available for up to 32 wedding guests so they can dance the night away before slipping off peacefully to bed.
The Honeymoon Suite
Lord Derby’s Suite is reserved for the newlyweds and has recently undergone a major refurbishment. The large bedroom occupies a magnificent super king size four poster bed that evokes the grandeur of Knowsley Hall. There is also a spacious dressing room and en-suite bathroom with a standalone shower and roll top bath. The suite has beautiful views of the manicured gardens and fountain, making it a truly tranquil haven for those final preparations before you say “I Do”.
This calming, idyllic environment is adorned in tranquil colours for newlyweds to retreat to if they need some space or quiet time during their busy wedding day.
Guest Bedrooms
We have 17 beautiful bedrooms in the Hall to accommodate up to 32 guests. 15 bedrooms have en-suites and the 2 additional rooms share a bathroom and tend to be popular amongst friends or family. All of our bedrooms have been individually designed by The Countess of Derby.
As Knowsley Hall is not a hotel, we do request that you book a minimum of 8 bedrooms for your nearest and dearest to stay on the night of your wedding. Guests can check in from 2pm on the day of the wedding and check out the following morning at 11am.
When you come for your wedding breakfast tasting, around 6-8 weeks before the wedding, you will be asked to bring along a list of guest names with bedroom allocations. We can also advise on the most suitable rooms for young families or guests with mobility difficulties and suggest the most appropriate bedrooms for your guests.
Your Stay
You can access the Hall from 8am on your wedding day to begin Bridal preparations, along with your makeup artist, hairdresser, and team of Bridesmaids. Start the day in our beautiful Music Room on the ground floor. This lovely airy room has lots of natural light and overlooks the gardens, with easy access to the bathroom and terrace. Make your Bridal preparations extra special with some bubbles, fresh fruit platters and pastries.
The Housekeepers will prioritise the Honeymoon Suite so it is available to you from 12pm, giving you plenty of time to put on your wedding dress and make those finishing touches. This is the perfect time for your wedding photographer and videographer to capture some beautiful shots of you getting ready.
The Hall is maintained to a high standard by our team of housekeepers. In each bedroom there is a Nespresso coffee machine, selection of teas, bottled water, monogrammed towelling robes and the finest Egyptian cotton linens. Bathrooms are equipped with Penhaligon products.
The following morning, wake up to a beautifully cooked breakfast with a continental selection. Breakfast is served in our light and airy Breakfast Room overlooking the gardens, where you can reminisce about your wonderful wedding day with 32 of your nearest and dearest to end a spectacular stay!
