The Hall will be open for guided tours on selected dates in July 2021
Knowsley Hall, the private home to The 19th Earl & Countess of Derby are delighted to welcome visitors into their beautiful home for their annual guided tours for a limited number of dates in July 2021.
Knowsley Hall is a magnificent stately home dating back to 1495. This historic house is at the centre of a private park of 2,500 acres, which as a former royal deer park dates back to the Norman Conquest. Throughout the last six centuries the house has been adapted to many different roles in times of peace as well as war. The Stanley family have welcomed royalty and distinguished guests since the house first opened its doors more than six centuries ago.
Don’t miss this rare opportunity to visit the Hall for a guided tour led by Dr Stephen Lloyd, Curator of the Derby Collection. The theme for 2021 will be of Hidden Landscapes, showing Old Master paintings from the family’s private collection, which are not normally on show.
On selected days from 14th to 20th July 2021 (excluding the weekend) we are offering two daily guided tours at 10:30am and 14:30pm which will last approximately 1 ½ hours. Following the tour there will be an opportunity to stay for tea, coffee and biscuits with a Q&A session with Dr Stephen Lloyd, Curator to the Derby Collection which is included in the price of the tour. A selection of our branded merchandise will be made available to purchase.
This is a COVID secure event therefore a maximum number of 6 people can be booked as a group party. Places are limited this year so we advise booking early to avoid disappointment. Tickets must be purchased online in advance.
