The Earl and Countess of Derby extend a warm welcome to all visitors for the annual public open days at Knowsley Hall in August 2025. This exclusive event provides a unique opportunity for guests to enjoy a guided tour of one of Merseyside’s hidden treasures.
There will be two daily tours at 10:30am and 2:30pm on the following dates:
Each tour, lasts approximately 1½ hours and will finish with refreshments of tea, coffee and biscuits for £25 per person. There will be an opportunity to ask questions and purchase memorabilia.
For an extra treat, book a Knowsley afternoon tea for an additional £28 per person. Afternoon tea is served at 12:30pm so if you attend the morning tour it will be served after your tour, for afternoon tours you will have your afternoon tea before.
Few families can claim a more exceptional position in racing than the Earls of Derby. The family’s association with racing can be traced as far back as Ferdinando, 5th Earl of Derby, who was keenly involved in the sport during the late sixteenth century.
