From royalty to supermodels, we can’t help but gaze in awe at a celebrity wedding

From royalty to supermodels, we can’t help but gaze in awe at a celebrity wedding. Although you might not have quite the same budget, there are still plenty of ways you can take inspiration from the ceremonies of the rich and famous. Check out some of our favourites below…

Prince Harry & Meghan Markle

We can hardly make a post about the most inspiring weddings without mentioning the most talked about event of the year! On May 19th 2018, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tore a page out of a fairytale and had a wedding that made the whole nation swoon.

The magical Windsor Castle served as the perfect stage, with a guestlist reading like a who’s-who of Hollywood and a gorgeous, contemporary dress by Givenchy to perfectly complement the bride’s refined style.

One thing we think all brides should take note of; despite it being a royal wedding bound to countless formalities and stipulations, the couple made sure it was true to themselves – from Meghan walking halfway down the aisle on her own to the personal speakers and touching musical ensembles. It was a beautiful day that the whole world is sure to remember!

Olivia Palermo & Johannes Huebl

Olivia is known for her effortlessly chic yet laid-back style, so why should her wedding dress be any different? Her wedding ceremony to Johannes Huebl took place in a quiet park in New York with just her closest friends and family.

After much speculation on which designer she’d be wearing, Olivia chose a three-piece ensemble by Carolina Herrera, showcasing a full-skirted silhouette and cashmere sweater for a quirky twist. For your own wedding, be sure to choose a dress that embodies your own unique style.

Miranda Kerr & Evan Spiegel

The former Victoria’s Secret model Miranda Kerr looked truly breathtaking at her wedding to Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel in May 2017. They chose to hold an intimate garden ceremony at their home in Brentwood, California, with Kerr wearing a custom Dior wedding dress.

She has spoken of how she took inspiration from Grace Kelly, noting that “a dress that fully covers you creates a sense of purity and mystery,”. When choosing your own gown, think about what is most important to you and look to your role models as influences.

Kerr also had quite an unusual itinerary, incorporating her passion for yoga with a session ahead of the ceremony and even choosing to cook her husband’s first meal as a married couple. There are plenty of ways you can make your wedding day special to you!

John Legend & Chrissy Teigen

Everybody’s favourite celeb couple tied the knot in 2013 and their wedding is still goals to this day. They chose to get married where they fell in love at Lake Como in Italy, which is definitely something all couples can consider when choosing their own venue. Finding a place with sentimental significance to you both is the perfect choice, whether it’s your local church or even the safari park where you had your first date.

Kate Upton & Justin Verlander

Actress Kate Upton and her sporting beau Justin Verlander turned their wedding into a weekend-long celebration in the Tuscan province of Siena. If you’ve got the budget, why not stretch your wedding day across a few days? Choose a venue with on-site accommodation and you can hold an evening rehearsal, family breakfast, dinner and more around the main ceremony.

One of the biggest decisions you’ll need to make when planning your wedding is where to have it. With so many different venues to choose from, it can be difficult to know where to start.
