We’re searching for a highly organised, charismatic and customer service focused individual to fulfil an exciting new role within Knowsley as our Estate Office Manager.

Housekeeper / Caretaker

The Earl and Countess of Derby are looking for a self-motivated and detail driven individual to fulfil the role of Housekeeper / Caretaker within their large shooting lodge in the Peak District.

The successful applicant will work as part of a small team responsible for the security, smooth running and maintenance of the home. When the family are in residence, you will be part of a larger team.

Location:                              Peak District near Macclesfield

Contract Type:                     Permanent, full-time.  If preferred, the role can be part-time in Winter

Salary:                                 £20,202 gross per annum

Accommodation:                 Cottage provided

Applicants should have an easy-going yet professional disposition and be dedicated to high standards. They must have a positive and courteous attitude, be security minded and complete confidentiality is essential. We expect applicants to have an energetic and efficient approach to work. Training will be given.

The successful applicant will undertake cleaning duties which include the handling of antiques and precious objects. Ideal candidates will have previous housekeeping experience, but experience of handling precious objects is not essential as full training will be provided, however you must be comfortable handing these items and be very conscientious.

The rural location of the lodge means that it is essential that you have your own transport.
